4:30 PM - 5:30 PMThe State of Fleet Safety in 2023 (Brought to you by Motive)
Is safety really a priority for fleets? Motive surveyed 1,100 fleets to understand their priorities and practices, specifically around driver and fleet safety. And what we found was a troublesome belief that safety is a cost center, not a revenue driver—which could end up costing lives and livelihoods.
95% of those surveyed said driver safety performance is a priority. While encouraging at first glance, our data shows that “priority” means different things from fleet to fleet. In fact, 40% of respondents said their fleets are underinvested in driver safety initiatives and technology, with 8% reporting they are “drastically underinvested.”
At a point when our roadways have never been more dangerous and payouts never higher, what can we do to make our roadways safer? Join Motive’s Joe Vignolo as he shares insights from the landmark survey to understand what fleets are doing today, and what they should do in the future.
Three key takeaways: 1. How delays in safety investments reduce profitability. 2. Active coaching practices can impact fuel costs and lead to significant savings. 3. Fleets that leverage AI safety technology increase revenue and minimize expenses.

Manager at Motive Technologies, Inc.
