Hosted by Shell RNG. Be sure to stop by Shell's booth to discuss how alternative fuels can help your business.
Road freight plays a vital and very visible role in global trade and accounts for around 9% of global CO2 emissions. Demand for road freight is growing and so will the associated emissions. Based on current trajectories, road freight volume is expected to double by 2050 and emissions could grow by over 60% over that same period relative to 2018 if the world does not urgently address this climate issue. Shell is investing in all types of alternative fuel options including low carbon fuels, hydrogen, electric mobility, and renewable natural gas in order to address climate change. While some alternative fuels have yet to reach maturity or scale, it is clear that fleets must begin making efforts now to reduce CO2 emissions for their customers, communities, and the broader society. Shell aims to be the premier fueling partner for fleets today with viable, alternative, and profitable solutions. We will leverage our growing low and negative carbon energy portfolio to enable the trucking industry’s decarbonization success.
